Guide on how to get all the endings in the “hostage” PS4 Demo of Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit: Become Human will be released on May 25^th for the PlayStation 4. But, Quantic Dream was kind enough to release a demo for the PS4, the “Hostage” demo on April 24^th. This demo allows the players to play out the hostage scene that puts you in control of Connor, an android, who is tasked with negotiating the deviant android involved in the case.

I have played through the demo a couple times and to tell you the truth, the amount of replayability that the demo offers is incredible. Depending on what clues you find and your decisions, you will be able to unlock one of the six possible endings . Another thing that was evident from the demo was the fact that your decisions will have butterfly effects throughout the game. For those who don’t know, the butterfly effect states that even small changes can bring about drastic consequences in the future.

To help you unlock all the endings, the game provides a Flowchart so that you can track your decisions and actions that you have taken.

I was able to unlock all the endings in the demo of Detroit: Become Human. Do note that, all the below mentioned steps are done after having the chit-chat with Captain Allen. So it seems that saving the fish or not,  doesn’t  do much. :-P

Ending 1 – Snipers Shot the Deviant.

• First, go into the child’s bedroom and learn about the Deviant’s Name via the tablet.
• Next, Investigate the Father’s Body and learn about the Cause of Incident via reconstruction.
• Finally investigate the Cop’s Body and take the Cop’s gun via reconstruction.
• Then, Go outside.
• Choose the “Name” option.
• Keep moving forward.
• Next, Choose the “Calm” option.
• Choose the “Truth” option which causes you to drop the gun.
• Choose the “Emma and you” option.
• Choose the “Possible Cause” option.       
• Choose the “Sympathetic” option.
• Choose the “Accept” option causing the heliocopter to leave.
• Choose the “Trust” option.
• Choose the “Compromise” option.
• Finally, Choose the “Reassure” option.

Ending 2 – Connor Shot the Deviant.

• First, go into the child’s bedroom and learn about the Deviant’s Name via the tablet.
• Next, Investigate the Father’s Body and learn about the Cause of Incident via reconstruction.
• Finally investigate the Cop’s Body and take the Cop’s gun via reconstruction.
• Then, Go outside.
• Choose the “Name” option.
• Keep moving forward.
• Next, Choose the “Calm” option.
• Choose the “Lie” option which causes you to hide the gun.
• Choose the “Emma and you” option.
• Choose the “Possible Cause” option.       
• Choose the “Sympathetic” option.
• Choose the “Accept” option causing the helicopter to leave.
• Choose the “Trust” option.
• Choose the “Use Gun” option.
• Finally, Choose the “Execute” option.

Ending 3 – The Deviant Shot Connor.

• First, go into the child’s bedroom and learn about the Deviant’s Name via the tablet.
• Next, Investigate the Father’s Body and learn about the Cause of Incident via reconstruction.
• Finally investigate the Cop’s Body and take the Cop’s gun via reconstruction.
• Then, Go outside.
• Choose the “Name” option.
• Keep moving forward.
• Next, Choose the “Calm” option.
• Choose the “Lie” option which causes you to hide the gun.
• Choose the “Emma and you” option.
• Choose the “Possible Cause” option.       
• Choose the “Sympathetic” option.
• Choose the “Accept” option causing the helicopter to leave.
• Choose the “Trust” option.
• Choose the “Use Gun” option.
• Choose the “Intimidate” option
• Finally, Choose the “Convince” option.

Ending 4 – Connor Failed To Reach Deviant In Time.

• Keep going outside and when the prompt asks again, choose to go outside.
• Choose the “Name?” option.
• Keep moving forward.
• Next, Choose the “Empathize” option.
• Choose the “Blaming” option.
• Choose the “Defective” option.
• Choose the “Realistic” option.
• Choose the “Refuse” option for the helicopter sequence.
• Finally, Choose the “Last Chance” option.

Ending 5 – Connor Leapt for Emma And Fell.

• Keep going outside and when the prompt asks again, choose to go outside.
• Choose the “Name?” option.
• Keep moving forward.
• Next, Choose the “Empathize” option.
• Choose the “Blaming” option.
• Choose the “Defective” option.
• Choose the “Realistic” option.
• Choose the “Refuse” option for the helicopter sequence.
• Next, Choose the “Bluff” option.
• Then starting to move closer.
• In the final scene, hit the “X” button repeatedly when prompted.

Ending 6 – Connor Died Protecting Emma.

• First, go into the child’s bedroom and learn about the Deviant’s Name via the tablet.
• Next, Investigate the Father’s Body and learn about the Cause of Incident via reconstruction.
• Finally investigate the Cop’s Body and take the Cop’s gun via reconstruction.
• Then, Go outside.
• Choose the “Name” option.
• Keep moving forward.
• Next, Choose the “Calm” option.
• Choose the “Lie” option which causes you to hide the gun.
• Choose the “Emma and you” option.
• Choose the “Possible Cause” option.       
• Choose the “Sympathetic” option.
• Choose the “Accept” option causing the heliocopter to leave.
• Choose the “Trust” option.
• Finally, Choose the “Sacrifice Self” option.
