Steps to refund your Fortnite skins in the Shop for V-Bucks!
Yesterday, Epic Games released the update v3.6 for Fortnite which not only brought Clinger Grenades but also enabled a new Self refund system for the skins and cosmetics bought in the game. That means the players will be able to refund their skins that they bought without any questions asked.
Although this is a long requested feature that players have been asking for, it has been currently disabled by Epic Games who stated that the they discovered some issues in the system. They haven't given a date for its return.
Even if it comes back, the refund has certain limitations. Epic Games is not completely ready to refund your money to you (i.e.) you can't get the refunds as real money to your wallets, rather it is refunded as V-Bucks, the in-game currency.
Another that I found out was that there were only three refunds possible for a single account, and the refund was only available for specific items such as emotes, skins, gilders etc. Things like Battle Passes and Packs are not refundable. Also Loot Llamas, Weekly and Event items were not refundable in the case of Fortnite: Save the World.
Also the refund is possible only for items, bought within 30 days of its purchase.
Steps to Refund your Fortnite Items:
Step: 1
First, go to the ITEM SHOP, found in the upper region of the game's UI followed by selecting the PURCHASE HISTORY option in the lower right corner of the screen.
This will show your complete list of purchased items.
Step: 2
Next, select the item you want to refund and select the Refund this item option. In my case, I chose to refund the Raven skin for 2000 V-Bucks.
Step: 3
Next, a confirmation screen appears asking one last time whether you want to refund. An interesting thing to note is that in this screen and previous screen, it show only 3 refunds are remaining.
Result:
Finally on clicking Confirm, the refund takes place instantaneously and the V-Bucks are updated in the top right corner of the screen as shown. It also shows the Refunded date below.
Now below are the list of items which are refundable and which aren't..
Refundable:
- Emotes
- Gliders
- Harvesting Tools
- Back Bling
- Skins
Non - Refundable:
- Battle Passes and Tiers
- Starter, Founder Packs
- Founder Pack Upgrades
- Loot Llamas (Save the World)
- Weekly and Event items (Save the World)
Fortnite Refunds are officially down.
The system was disabled shortly by Epic Games by stating the following-
“Due to an issue discovered with the “Self Refund” feature, we’ll be disabling it until we create a fix and make some usability improvements to the system.”
Epic Games has not mentioned when it will be back online.
