Warframe is making its way to the Nintendo Switch, as confirmed by Developer and Publisher Digital Extremes during Tennocon 2018. No specific release date has so far been announced for the Nintendo Switch port. However, the studio that will be bringing the game to Switch, is none other than Panic Button. Panic Button was the studio that brought both Rocket League, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Doom to the Nintendo Switch.

Warframe is a third person sci-fi, action shooter game which also features online cooperative play. Above all, it is a free-to-play game. Players take the role of a Tenno, a race of cybernetic ninja warriors, who don the suits called Warframes. The game is well known not only for its free-to-play model, but also wide range of content including a number of Warframes and various unique weapons, each of which comes with customization options. Apart from this, it also features a flexible mod system, keep pets, join clans and explore big open worlds.

The news was officially announced during Tennocon 2018, which is the annual expo that is specifically dedicated to the game. This is the third annual convention for the game.

The game is already available on Windows PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
